  1. Thank you! Thank you!! I have loved that gray since your first peek at the kitchen. Now I just have to figure out where to put it.

    Hope all is well!

    1. The ceiling color is flat extra white, and the cabinets are semi-gloss in extra white. Both are straight off the shelves. Hope this helps!

        1. I *think* it was 1/8 of an inch, but it’s been a few years since we moved from that home, so I’m afraid I don’t remember for sure. Hope this helps!

  2. Current English teacher here =].
your kitchen is beautiful. I’m looking at your back door and I’m wondering if there’s enough space to comfortably enter and exit the house. We are currently adding some cabinets to our kitchen and the debate has been how close we can put the cabinets.
    Thanks!

    1. Yay for English teachers! 😉 So glad you like the space. We actually don’t live there anymore, but it was a wonderful home. The cabinets were so close to the back door that they ate into the door frame (we didn’t reconfigure the cabinets; we kept the footprint when we remodeled). We didn’t have any issues with it, but we also had the large laundry room right next door to hang bags, etc. I don’t remembered feeling hampered by the closeness of the countertop. I hope this helps!

  3. Do you remember the dimensions of this kitchen? It looks so spacious and airy! I’m trying to get up the nerve to start my own kitchen reno. You have definitely inspired me!

    1. Thank you! I’m so glad you like it. I’m guessing it was approximately 12’x14′. I hope this helps!!

  4. Thank you so much for taking so many photos. We just purchased the Azul Platino granite for our new build and have been trying to find pictures to show people. Your kitchen is basically what I want my kitchen to look like. ❤️

  5. Dear Rachel,
Thank you, your beautiful kitchen has inspired me to use the same granite in my kitchen renovation. However, I plan to sell my house within the next two years. I am wondering if I should focus instead on the current trend: quartz? The granite is more economical, and the azul platino is beautiful in your kitchen. School teacher budget here 🙂 I used SW Gracious Greige on the walls instead of the agreeable gray, because I have less light than your kitchen. Still, my color scheme mimics yours. Your opinion is appreciated.
    Thanks, Karen

    1. Oh Karen, that’s such a tough choice! I was struggling with similar questions recently as I helped my parents to prepare to sell their home: try to guess buyers’ taste while balancing budget and personal taste. I do think the marble-look quartz options are more generally popular right now… but if the Azul Platino is more within budget and you would enjoy it, then I can see the argument for that. I think it comes down to going with your gut and staying within budget as much as possible!
